Lewis, seen a century ago

Last weekend, the Observer published a fascinating story about a set of photographs taken in Lewis, the Western Isles, in the very early 20th century. The images were taken by a local man, Norman Morrison, a policeman, herpetologist and amateur photographer, and offer an incredible insight into island life at the time.
