Majuro Declaration for Climate Leadership

Small islands are among those places being first and worst affected by climate change, with rising seas posing a real threat to some islands' future. The 16 nations of the Pacific Islands Forum are meeting this week in Majuro, capital of the Marshall Islands, to discuss the issue and to try and agree on the Majuro Declaration for Climate Leadership. The declaration is intended to push a greater sense of urgency into the international debate around climate change.

The Huffington Post published an interesting article on the subject here this week, and The Guardian featured a slightly more in-depth piece here.
