Aerial views of aurora borealis in Iceland

If you are lucky enough to be located in the Northern Hemisphere, right now is the perfect time of year to see the aurora borealis. Known in Shetland and Orkney as the mirrie dancers, and in other places as the northern lights, the aurora decorate the night sky in an array of vivid colours, usually green but sometimes red, yellow, blue and violet.

For those of us not in the far north, the Icelandic creative genius known as O Z Z O photography has made a short film with a drone camera showing the aurora illuminating his native landscape. We can't think of a better way to spend a dreamy few minutes.
