Rabbit Island artists' colony

Rabbit Island is a 91 acre forested island in Lake Superior, Michigan. It was bought in 2010 by Rob Gorski, who has since created an artists' retreat there - 'a platform for science, art, preservation and recreation for the generations'. The project is both an artistic and a political one, and according to Gorski's website, 'In the end the island leads to the question “what if things were different” and challenges one to act on this.'
