A gallery of vivid digital landscape works by Geoff Stear, each based on a specific location on Harris or Lewis.
Geoff Stear studied fine art and painting in the 1960s at the Bradford College of Art, Birmingham School of Art and Design, and St Martin's College of Art, London. He worked in London for thirteen years, first as an assistant at the Whitechapel Art Gallery before leaving to combine time teaching, working on his own practice and freelancing in graphic design studios. He moved to Leamington Spa in 1977 and was invited to set up and run Room Twenty Three, a Birmingham-based advertising art and design studio. He returned to working as a full-time artist on moving to the Western Isles and now runs the ArtWorks studio and gallery in the Scalpay School Craft Village in Harris.
