The Thousand Islands are an archipelago in the St Lawrence River, on the Canada-US border. There are 1,864 islands in total, covering an area of about 80km. These range from sizeable islands, up to 40 square miles, to tiny rocks. But even some of the smallest islets hold houses. One of the most famous of these is the aptly named Just Room Enough Island, pictured below.
