Trouble in Sark

The Channel Island of Sark has faced serious problems over the past few years, with islanders claiming they are being harassed and intimidated by representatives of the island's owners, the Barclay brothers, who also own the Telegraph newspaper. Sark, which is a crown dependency of the UK, only became a democracy in 2008, and tensions between supporters of the Barclays and elected representatives  have simmered ever since.
